Well, it finally happened. Bitty lasted a lot longer than the vet originally thought, but she just couldn't take it anymore. We finally had to go and take her to the vet last night to have her put to sleep...

Love ya Bitty-kitty, and I'll freaking miss ya, but at least you're in a better place now.

Hey everybody. I'm pretty sad right now.

My cat's been acting funny for a week and a half now so I took her to the vet. Turns out she has some kind of rare disease that some kittens are born with. It's dormant until something triggers it. I don't know what triggered it in my cat... but it's fatal. And untreatable.

The vet said that it's a kind of rapidly-progressing illness, so she has maybe less than a month before we have to put her to sleep. EDIT: Seems I was wrong about the estimated lifespan of Bitty, my cat. I must have misheard the doctor, because my mom and grandmother (who were with me at the tome) said the vet said that she only has a couple days to a week. ...fucking glorious.

I'd give up my drawing arm to cure her if I could, but I can't... so I'll just settle for crying for a while.
